My Beginnings
For Your Emmy® Consideration" actress, born & raised on the Eastside of Detroit, over the last decade, Shawntay Dalon has been hitting the ground running!
Shawntay completed two seasons of Comedy Central's "Detroiters" , playing the recurring role of "Chrissy Duvet-Cramblin", she has also recurred on Netflix's "I Think You Should Leave”, and Shawntay also landed a recurring role on season two of Freeform's award winning show "Good Trouble", as Lisa Hill. You can also check out last season of NBC’s “Brooklyn Nine Nine” playing the role of Aisha Fulton.
Even with these accomplishments on her resume Shawntay prides herself most as still being the Survivor/Victim Advocate that she's been for over 20 years. Once a depressed hurting teen, Shawntay found joy in helping other teens through their pain. As a survivor herself, Shawntay found passion in helping others find & see their God given purpose. Be it, acting, writing, dance, Spoken Word, or a simple ear to listen, Shawntay chooses to use her gifts to spread Faith, Love, and Courage. Shawntay produces work through her very own production company " CalienTay Productions". Her latest project, film "BOOKED", is streaming NOW! My Favorite Work
As long as I am in the will that God has for me and my life, I have Joy. How awful would it be to work so tirelessly to be in a position, only to get there, and be unhappy. Unhappy because that was not your calling. Nor your destiny. I try to always allow my Faith to lead me. Not my own selfish desires or even the desires of others. My favorite work is living in my Purpose. I hope all others live to do the same.
